Answers
Answer:
Ban Ki-moon (/bæn/; Korean: 반기문; Hanja: 潘基文; Korean pronunciation: [pan.ɡi.mun]; born 13 June 1944) is a South Korean politician and diplomat who served as the eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations from January 2007 to December 2016. Before becoming Secretary-General, Ban was a career diplomat in South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the United Nations. He entered diplomatic service the year he graduated from university, accepting his first post in New Delhi, India.
Ban was the foreign minister of South Korea from January 2004 to November 2006. In February 2006 he began to campaign for the office of Secretary-General. Ban was initially considered to be a long shot for the office. As foreign minister of South Korea, however, he was able to travel to all the countries on the United Nations Security Council, a maneuver that turned him into the campaign's front runner.
On 13 October 2006, he was elected to be the eighth Secretary-General by the United Nations General Assembly. On 1 January 2007, he succeeded Kofi Annan. As Secretary-General, he was responsible for several major reforms on peacekeeping and UN employment practices. Diplomatically, Ban has taken particularly strong views on global warming, pressing the issue repeatedly with U.S. President George W. Bush, and on the Darfur conflict, where he helped persuade Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir to allow peacekeeping troops to enter Sudan.

Explanation:
Imagine a boy born and raised in the countryside, and always dreamed of being a diplomat. He not only accomplished his dream, but worked an even higher job then he dreamed. Ban Ki Moon is my hero and my role model because he accomplished the dream that I want to accomplish. Ban Ki Moon is my hero because he is a world leader, he is strong, and he is smart.
He is leader because he is the head of United Nations and all countries voted him to be Secretary General of the United Nations. He is very kind and he respects others first, which is why everybody has him in high esteem, and that’s why he became a leader. He is doing all the work that he should do, and he is always the first person who comes to the UN office to work. He was a leader when he was an elementary student, middle school student, and high school student. He has really good leadership.
He is strong. He always learns something and masters it. If he can’t master it, he doesn’t sleep. I’m not just saying he is strong in a physical way, I’m also talking about his mind and how he accomplishes his goals. When he got a good job in a company that makes visas, his friends visited him asking for special treatment, but there were no exceptions. Ban Ki Moon never gave special treatment to his close friends. When he was a diplomat he slept two nights and traveled seven days, that’s why his nickname is Secretary General of Iron.
He is smart. He was always the best in his classes, contests and camps. He graduated from the best university in Korea. He can speak four languages. He is still learning new languages. When he learned French, he used 15 minute his lunch time. When he was in elementary school student, his nickname was little teacher. He just memorized all the words in his book and notebook. He made a textbook for his class, when he was in seventh grade.
Ban Ki Moon is my hero because he is a ruler, he has strength, and he is intelligent. He also has really good study skills, and I want to learn those same skills. I also want my personality to be like his nice personality. He is my role model forever.
