beti bachao beti padhao is a scheme of Indian government promote save girl and educate girl child among people improve the welfare services for woman.
it is launched on 22nd January of 2015 at panipat haryana by our honourable prime minister narendra modi in order to address the gender imbalance and discrimination against girl child in the indian society. beti bachao beti padhao has launched keeping in mind the drastic condition of girl child in the Indian society.
According to the statistics the ratio of girl child per male child ( of 0 - 6 age ) was 935/1000 in 1991 whereas it remain only 927/1000 in 2001 again reduced to 918/1000 in 2011.if we see the census report we see the ratio of girl child is decreasing continuously after each decades. it is a danger sign that girl children were killed in mother is womb through proper detection technique before birth. this practice was in vague to reduce the number of girl child as well as avoid the responsibility of the girl child .less importance of girl child in human society is causing suspense of life exiting on the earth as there is no woman, no new birth would be.

Beti Bachao Beti Padhao is a scheme started and launched by goverment of india, with the aim of spreading awareness as well as improving the efficiency of welfare services for the girls of India. it's main motive is to to save the girl child and educate the girl child all over the India.
This scheme was launched by our honorable Prime Minister shri.narendra modi on 22nd of January in 2015 at Panipat, Haryana .
this scheme was launched and started in order to promote awareness among common people to save the lives of girl child by completely removing the female foeticide, ensure safety of girl child, sex determination, as well as provide quality education to them.
In our indian society people often believe that girls are like burden in their life who only need to take whole life from their parents or husbands and never give. In our society people have these type of rude mindset about the girl child.
however, the above statement is not true, girls occupy almost half population of the world so they are half responsible for the existence of life on the earth.
as in our country the girls sex ratio as compared to boys are decreasing with a rapid speed. we can take the example of haryana, where girls are least as compared to boys. that's why our prime started this campaign in the state of haryana.
In order to support this campaign, the government of India has started another programme named as Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. This scheme involves in reducing the burden of parents at her young age. Because, according to this scheme, parents have to deposit some money in the bank on monthly basis for which they will get benefited in future at the young age of their girl child whether for the education or marriage. Such ambitious approach of government in the form of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme will surely bring positive changes in the status of women in India.
at last, I would like to share with you a nice line regarding girl child:
“Make a girl child power of the family, society and country; and not a burden, weakness and helpless entity of the family, society and country”.
