An Art and Craft exhibition for the students was organized on 7th December 2014. It got an overwhelming response both by the children as well as by the guardians. Beautiful art and craft work made by the students was on display. The exhibition was appreciated by the honorable guests. It surely displayed the talent which the children have. The beautiful paintings and art work left the spectators mesmerized. Various art work like paper pasting, clay modeling, thumb impression, stamp printing, rangoli, glass painting were on display.
Some guest artists were invited to judge the art and craft works and the selected students were awarded in the assembly. In order to enhance the vocabulary and word power of students Lexicon Competition was held in the premises of Sarala Birla Public School. The competition was organized for the students of Std II with the idea to improve the word power and to enlarge their capability of word formation. The event saw huge participation of students. The competition was all about making new words with the letters of the given word. A word like Mahabharata was given where students had to form different words using the letters of the word Mahabharata. Organising such competitions not only enhance the word power but it also proves to be a new and interesting way to understand English language. The event saw great enthusiasm among the children who were eagerly waiting for their chance to show their talent. The competition concluded with the award ceremony where best students were given the prizes. “It is a wonderful way to learn words and winning in such competitions is surely a proud moment for us”, quoted the winners.

Stories help children in expanding their imagination and knowledge of the world they live in. It develope their language skills in a holistic way and familiarizes children with the sound, rhythm and intonation of the words. To develop these skills and to provide an exposure to language an English story telling competition was organized for the students of KG II and a story enactment competition was organized for the students of Std I and II where the students performed on the stories given in their course books.
