Hello!

Here is your essay!

                                         Clean and green india
                                       ----------------------------------
"We won't have a society if we destroy the environment."
                                              Margaret Mead

Back some years ago, this great nation of India was born, and so it is quite natural that a country having such a historical record should have that strong Indian spirit that has not only made it the most envisaged economic center of this world, but also one of the largest democracies. India with a population of over 1.2 billion, which is a sixth of world’s population recently witnessed the largest successful democratic election. .This was sought to be  India’s biggest cleanliness drive and is billed as the most ambitious attack on dirt.  When this idea came to light as any new idea would experience this so called “Abhiyan”  faced certain risks and potential pitfalls that could derail it.

cleanliness is next to  godliness:cleanliness means maintaining neatness both physically and mentally.we can estimate and analyses a person by his way of dressing. If one dressed carelessly all the people will assess hi character .a good heart is moulded from a good character.cleanliness of mind will promote spiritual perfection and happiness swachh bharat is a campaign recently announced by our prime minister Narendra Modi. This is a campaign to bring out/produce a clean India.

Water pollution, unavailability of drinking water, inadequate sanitation, open dumping of waste, and loss of forest cover are some of the related problems. These have serious consequences on the health of the people and are also an economic burden to the country. Similarly, water-borne disease like diarrhoea, jaundice and cholera are taking a heavy toll on both human health and economic productivity. This situation demands immediate intervention in the management of rapidly growing urban environmental problems. The quality of the environment needs to be monitored regularly and, more importantly, scientific work needs to extend beyond the laboratory and become more community centered. While the regulatory agencies continue to play their role. Programmes that are community based are required. These will help the community understand local issues and take necessary initiatives to improve their local environmental conditions and come up with new locale-specific initatives to improve their sorrounding environmental conditions. CLEAN-India (Community Led Environment Action Network) programme was launched by Development Alternatives (DA) with the vision of developing a cleaner environment for our urban centres. This nation-wide programme focuses on environmental assessment, awareness, advocacy and action on school children who are the future citizens. The underlined realisation is that ‘each one of us is responsible for the current state of are environment and we cannot wait for someone else to solve it’.

With a growing population and a rising consumption-driven middle class, the country's electricity demand will double by 2020. Already, what is currently being generated is woefully inadequate as nearly 150 million Indian still live without any electricity.

The government needs to encourage public-private partnerships more aggressively. AFP

*About 60 percent of pollution in the country is caused by power generation and yet, we're still hungry for more power capacity for fuelling economic growth.

The facts were revealed at a World Economic Forum (WEF) India Summit session on "Green growth in India: From agenda to action". The two-day summit, which began on Sunday, is being held in Mumbai. Experts at the panel discussed different ways in which India could become more environmentally conscious while still pushing for economic growth.

So where are the largest opportunities for India to go green? The experts honed in on four key areas.

Infrastructure: India still has to build 99 percent of its infrastructure, which affords plenty of opportunities to go green.By 2015, about 20 percent of India's energy is estimated to come from renewable resources. But for that to happen, the pace of privatization, especially in the power sector, needs to pick up. Reforms have to take place in all three segments of the power sector: generation, transmission and distribution.

So in conclusion i would say that if all the citizens of india worked to make India clean then sure one day the dream of our prime minister will come true.
