Petroleum products refer to the chemical mixtures derived from crude oil in oil refineries. Fuel oils, paraffin wax, asphalt, diesel, jet fuel are all petroleum products.
Conservation of petroleum products is of crucial importance today, for these are obtained from limited natural reserves that are depleting fast. If we continue to exploit these natural reserves at the current pace, there's no question our future generations would be left with none to use.
Simple measures can work wonders when it comes to conserving petroleum products and fuels. Driving our vehicles at an optimum speed, maintaining our vehicles in proper condition, and opting for car pools over individual transport all go a long way in helping conserve precious fuel.

With these steps in mind and a strong will to be the change, we can sure tackle the issues at hand and emerge as a world leader in petroleum conservation.

                                 Conservation of Petroleum Products

Man's victory over Mother Nature has been an ongoing process since time immemorial and he takes pride in his inventions and discoveries. But his dominating attitude towards other earth mates as well as all the valuable resources has brought humankind to the verge of destruction. Unless we use the available resources wisely, we don't see any hope for our survival.

It's a well-known fact that it takes hundreds of years to replenish petroleum once it is used. The consumption of petroleum is far more than its production, and as a result, we are draining the oil reserves of Mother Earth rapidly. There is a dire need to conserve petroleum for sustainable development. Otherwise, we will have to face the consequences of our own thoughtless action.

Firstly, we need to use alternate resources to save petroleum. The golden principle of four Rs can go a long way to reduce our petroleum consumption remarkably. We should try to use a bicycle or walk for short distance and use sharing cabs or car pooling. Similarly, the use of public transport should be encouraged. We owe our coming generations all that we received from our forefathers and let us see it materialize by saving petroleum.
