                    Conserving Petroleum And Reducing Emissions

Fossil fuels burning and emissions are directly interrelated. The more we burn fossil fuels, the more the emissions that are creating an imbalance in our environment. Petroleum is one of the most extensively used fossil fuels. Our wise elders have given us various maxims to live happily. One of them is ‘Excess of everything is bad.’ This maxim defines the present state of excessive emissions of carbon dioxide and other dangerous gases in our environment quite aptly and relevantly. Excess of this gas in our atmosphere has wreaked havoc with the balance of our environment. Owing to man’s selfish greedy activities, this gas assumed such a dangerous proportion in the atmosphere that if no immediate action is taken, it will soon bring an unmanageable catastrophe.

Conserving petroleum and using clean environmental friendly fuels is the need of the hour. It will not only save petroleum for future generations, but also reduce the dangerous emissions. Conserving petroleum will reduce and control many problems such as global warming, pollution, acid rain, saving of national income, and poor health conditions. Sagacious and frugal use of fossil fuels is the direst need of the hour. The present rate at which the fossil fuels are being used is quite alarming. There won't be left anything for the coming generations.

The best option in front of us at present to tackle the problems posed by fossil fuels is the option of using alternative sources of energy. With energy consumption being the buzzword in developing economies around the world, fears of an energy crisis looming ahead are not totally unfounded. The non-renewable nature of fossil fuels makes complete dependence on these for future energy needs a very dicey affair. Renewable energy sources are the best bet in the scenario. And what can be a better  renewable resource than the sun? Besides, it is a renewable and clean energy source. Taking both environmental and economic cost, solar energy works cheaper than fossil fuel resources. Once we master techniques to harness solar energy, it can be a vital source of power generation in our country. We will be benefited in many ways. It will not only save huge amount of national expenditure, but end all environment and health related problems also.

Answer:

PETROLEUM CONSERVATION

Petroleum is one of the most used fossil fuels in the world it is a yellowish liquid which people use in their vehicles by which the vehicles get the ignition to travel around the world.

The amount of petroleum around the world is getting decreased day by day and still human beings aren’t aware of the fact that if one of this best fossil fuels isn’t available in the world, our future generation would be missing a lot in their lives.

Man's victory over Mother Nature has been an ongoing process since time immemorial and he takes pride in his inventions and discoveries. But his dominating attitude towards other earth mates as well as all the valuable resources has brought humankind to the verge of destruction. Unless we use the available resources wisely, we don't see any hope for our survival.

It's a well-known fact that it takes hundreds of years to replenish petroleum once it is used. The consumption of petroleum is far more than its production, and as a result, we are draining the oil reserves of Mother Earth rapidly. There is a dire need to conserve petroleum for sustainable development. Otherwise, we will have to face the consequences of our own thoughtless action.

Firstly, we need to use alternate resources to save petroleum. The golden principle of four Rs can go a long way to reduce our petroleum consumption remarkably. We should try to use a bicycle or walk for short distance and use sharing cabs or car pooling. Similarly, the use of public transport should be encouraged. We owe our coming generations all that we received from our forefathers and let us see it materialize by saving petroleum.
