Louis Pasteur(France) was a chemist and a microbiologist. He is one of the founders of medical microbiology. Fermentation was discovered by Louis Pasteur in 1857. Pasteur began to examine why alcohol becomes contaminated with undesirable substances during fermentation. He soon demonstrated that each type of fermentation is linked to the existence of a specific microorganisms. This insight is the basis of microbiology. Louise's Pasteur not only discovered microorganisms that cause fermentation and disease but also developed vaccines against Anthrax and Rabies.
