Cricket is considered a popular sport in India, which originated in southern England.

Cricket is an outdoor sport; almost all children like to play and dream of becoming prominent cricketers like Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar at an early age.

This cricket game is played in a large, open field using a bat and ball. It is played between two teams in which 11 players are included on each team.

The batsman uses the bat while batting and tries to score runs in the innings. Whereas a member of the opposite team is called a bowler. He throws a ball towards a member of the other team, called the batsman. The bowler tries to hit the ball away from the bat to take a wicket so that the ball hits the wicket.

A batsman continues to bat until he is thrown out of the game for some fault or for being dismissed by the bowler, whichever team starts to bat. Batting continues until ten batsmen are out.

Today many national teams have been formed, in which India, South Africa, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ireland, and many more teams play many matches yearly.

Earlier, these teams used to play Test matches and ODIs; later, they played T20 International matches.
