International corporate spies and organized crime organizations aim at attacking the infrastructure for profit, theft of trade secrets and blackmail the affected industry.

                Hacktivists' goal is propoganda and causing damage to achieve notoriety for their cause. Hackers are lone computer hacking hobbyists. They deface web pages. Their goal is to disrupt networks and attached computer systems. The security researcher and white hat hacker wants to improve security, earn money and achieve recognition. The professional hacker black hat gets paid to write exploits or actually penetrate networks.
