Answer:

Environment and development are interrelated. One cannot think of development without considering the environment. While focusing on development, if the environment is neglected, it will have further impact on the development. Both must co-exist alongside each other. Development is unavoidable thus special care must be taken for not damaging the environment while doing so. Development usually refers to urbanization- new buildings, roads, industries, settlements etc. These constructions are mostly done clearing a forested area, thereby resulting in huge loss of the flora and also loss of habitat for the fauna. It is very difficult to replicate the lost trees and vegetation; nevertheless, we can always plant new trees and adopt environment friendly initiatives to reduce the damage.

Development is a continuous and constant process. However, every development has some positive and negative results. While development is carried out for the benefits of the inhabitants, the environment is equally important. If development is carried out without considering the environment, it may have a negative impact on the environment. This, in turn, will cause harmful effects on the inhabitant.

In order to fully enjoy the benefits of development, conservation of the environment is necessary. Though this fact has been neglected in prioritizing development, there has been an increase in awareness among human beings in recent times. By giving adequate importance to the environment, we all will be able to enjoy the benefits of development for a long time.
