The union minister of communications , information of technology and law and justice, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad presided over the conference of ministers of IT and IT secretaries on 26th august 2014. In this the " Digital India " program was discussed. IT ministers from ten states like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Odisha, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh attended it. IT Secretaries and senior officers of IT department of 33 States / UT participated in the conference.

'Digital India' is a new initiative of the Government of India, which aims to transform India into a digitally powerful society and knowledge economy. The goal which is being focused on achieving this goal is the Indian Talent (IT) + Information Technology (IT) = India of tomorrow (IT).

'Digital India' is a comprehensive program that covers many government ministries and departments. It encompasses a variety of ideas  in singular and broad vision, so that each of these ideas can be seen as part of a larger goal. Digital India program is to be coordinated by DEITY. At the same time, it has to be executed by the whole government.

The vision of 'Digital India' is centered on three major areas. These are: digital infrastructure, on-demand operations and services as a utility for every citizen and digital empowerment of citizens.

The below are available in the digital infrastructure as a utility for every citizen - High Speed ​​Internet as a major use to provide services to citizens, such a place to mark digital identity, which is unique, online and certified for every citizen Eligible, the mobile phone and bank account facility that can involve citizens in digital and financial matters, to the shared service center. Not reach the public to share the cloud qualified private and secure cyber-space.

All citizens and jurisdictions have the right to be available on Cloud Apps, on availability of services at the right time on government and services, on-line and on mobile platform, with integrated services on demand. Taking advantage of GIS for ease of business through digital translated services, electronic and cashless financial transactions, decision support systems and development.

With the digital empowering of citizens, universal digital literacy, universal digital resources, availability of digital resources / services in Indian languages, all digital rights for governance and all rights of portability collaboration through the cloud. Citizens will be able to fill government documents or certificates without their presence.

"DIGITAL INDIA"

The world has indeed revolutionised. We are in the need if so many gadgets and machines these days to live our life. Somehow they have become an integral part of our life. We need them for various purposes, mainly to make our jobs easier. Internet is a major part of life. There are hardly any house in India without internet connection (obviously leaving the rural parts of villages). This is the main reason for the India government to launch the 'Digital India' campaign. It was started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main moto of the campaign is to improve the technology in India and to make it more advanced and developed. Also to make India free from corruption. Various business men and companies contributed a lot of money on this campaign.
This campaign was launched on 1st July, (Wednesday) 2015 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Delhi. Various schemes regarding this plan have been revealed like e-health, e-sign etc.
