As Digital India, an ambitious program started on 1 July (Wednesday) 2015 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. It started in the presence of various prominent industrialists (Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry, RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani, Wipro Chairman Azeem Premji etc.). At the conference, these people shared their idea of bringing a large number of digital revolution of India from village to city. Several programs were organized in the presence of information technology company to reach 600 districts in the country. Digital India program is a major step taken by the Indian government to empower the country digitally. Various schemes related to this scheme have been unveiled (worth over one lakh crore) such as digital locker, e-health, e-education, national scholarship portal, e-signature etc.

To make this country a digitally empowered country, the Digital India campaign is being run by the Indian government. The goal of this campaign is to reduce paperwork and make Indian citizens easily available e-services. This work is very effective and efficient which will save time and human labor on a large scale. This initiative was started on 1 July 2015 to connect people of rural areas with fast internet network to access any necessary information.

There are three important elements of Digital India like creation of digital infrastructure across the country, digital literacy, service in a digital way. It is targeted to complete the project by 2019. The digital scheme was launched for the benefit of everyone and the benefit of the country. If this scheme is fully successful in our India, then it will make a huge contribution to the development of the country.
