Introduction :- The Discovery of India was written by India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru during his imprisonment in 1942-1946 at Ahmednagar at Ahmednagar Fort. It was written when he was jailed for his participation in the movement called ‘Quit Indian Movement’ with other Nehru leaders and followers and within the time gap of 5 months this book came into existence.
