Diwali is one of the most famous and significant festival celebrated by Hindus in India. All around the world people celebrates Diwali with great enthusiasm as Lord Ram came back to Ayodhya after 14 long years. So people illuminates their houses in order to welcome their lord and have a massive celebrations. Diwali symbolizes good over evil.


People buys new clothes and things as it is a age old believe that buying anything new brings MAA Laxmi at homes. On this festival all the family member, relatives and friends gathers at one place and celebrate it with one another. People gives gifts, sweets and enjoy by lighting crackers and fireworks at night. On Diwali night, all the sky is filled with beautiful fireworks. Every member of the house wears new clothes, decorate the house with diyas, rangoli, makes sweets and do puja and ask Gods for success, prosperity, peace and happiness in their life.


Diwali also called as deepavali is a 5 daylong celebration and this five day have their own beliefs. The 1st day of deepavali is celebrated as Dhanteras, 2nd day is celebrated as Choti Diwali, 3rd day is celebrated as main Diwali or also known as Lakshmi puja, 4th day is celebrated as Govardhan Puja and 5th day is celebrated as Bhai Dooj.


On Diwali we all should clean our hearts and forgive everyone. And also ask to forgive us if we have hurt some ones feelings as Diwali is the festival of Good over Evil.

According to mythology, the festival of Diwali also commemorates the return of Rama, Sita, Lakshman Hanuman to the kingdom of Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile. During the exile Rama fought and won a battle against the demons and Ravana the demon king.

The Diwali Festival reminds us every year that goodness cannot be defeated by evil. In our daily life we must strive to overcome evil with good.
