It is the very famous Hindu festival in India which is celebrate with a great excitement throughout the country...

√ Reason behind this --


This festival is celebrated in the memory of returned back of God Rama after the long period of 14 years exile to his kingdom Ayodhya ,, all the persons of that Ayodhya welcomed them with a very great manner and made lots of joy..

So , in the terms of victory of truth over evil powers this festival is celebrated as a happiness ...

√ What we do on the day of Diwali --

People white washed their houses before Diwali and decorate them with lights , wear new clothes , eat delicious food , distribute the sweets and gifts to each other , ...

This is the festival that brings more festivals with it as Goverdhan and Bhai Dujj , So it's importance is very much in out religion...

On this day markets are beautifully decorated. People crowded to markets not only to buy gifts, but also to buy sweets and gifts.

People call their friends and relatives over and have sweets and make merry....

At night people worship the Goddess Lakshmi - the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. So, that she may blessed them and visit their house....

Houses also got decorated on this day with diyas, rangoli and with multicolored lights. Which makes the house more beautiful...

Diwali is also regarded as a festival of traders. They began their new year from this day... New account books are begun and all.old accounts are settled..

Thus, Diwali the festival of lights is a festival which brings happiness and joy to all. People of different religions too join in and it has also become a festival to invite the different communities of the country...
