The word dowry means the property and the money that a bride brings to her husbands house at the time of her marriage..
It's very surprising that even in this 21 St century too this dowry system prevails. Now also it is prevailing in some parts of sections of society from which some of them of the states had escaped from social pressure.
It's just the curse to the brides parents who have to bear enormous cost to satisfy the unreasonable demand of grooms family. The demand of dowry even do not stops after marriage too.
Women must be empowered. Gender inequality should be abolished and the position in the society should be raised. Early marriage and dowry should be stopped.
