Answer:

dragon fly

. A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order 'Odonata'. Dragonflies are are not actually a fly even though they both have six legs and three body parts, head, thorax and abdomen. The main difference between them is that flies only have two wings whereas dragonflies have four wings.

The dragonfly is large predatory insect generally found around watery areas in both the North and South Hemispheres. The dragonfly is very similar to a damselfly but the wings on the adults are considerably different.

The dragonfly is best known for its beautiful colours and the way it's body and wings sparkle when the dragonfly is flying around the water.,

Dragonflies have large compound eyes, which is their main sense organ. They have four strong transparent wings, and a long body.

Dragonflies are usually found around lakes, ponds, streams and wetlands. They are predators which eat mosquitoes, and other small insects such as flies, bees, ants, and butterflies. Their larvae, known as 'nymphs', are aquatic.

Explanation:

Dragon flies -

In the time of summer , just after a nice shower come the dragon flies . They gracefully fly from place to place . Their wings flap so fast that they can barely be seen . They dip into the water from time to time . I like seeing small kids trying to catch the dragonflies with their tiny hands . It is a nice , warm feeling to see the dragon flies buzzing around you , their buzzing filling you with excitement . Sometimes they also come in pairs , which is a rare sight . Then a day after the shower , they mysteriously fade off , coming only after the next rain .
