Explanation:

Education is one of the most important pillars of any society. More education means more civilized society.

Similarly democracy is the key of any civilized government where the leader is chosen from the people, for the people and by the people. Now if a person is selected to govern them and if he is not educated about his people, the electoral challenges then he would never be able to perform in the true spirit of democracy. Electoral literacy for stronger Democracy

By the word democracy the first thing that comes to the mind is 'For the people, of the people and by the people'.  But 'by' the people is only possible when the people of a notion are aware of the concept of election and respects its value.

In a country like ours with a sky rocketing population the voting process lies in the oblivion of ignorance.

More than 70% of the voters are illiterate. They have no clue about the election i.e. the power they bestow through their votes on the elected.

Before the elections most candidates running for the election dupe these unsuspecting people.  They even misguide them on how to cast a vote.

As a result fake votes, rigging, fraudulence reigns the Indian election system.  If the people of India are not educated on the value and processes of election India can never emerge as a democracy 'by the people'.
