Civil engineering is a branch of business engineering that is engaged in design, construction and maintenance of bridges , roads, canals , dams and buildings etc. in a physical and naturally created environment. . Civil engineering is the oldest branch of engineering that comes after military engineering. It was defined as 'civil engineering' to separate from military engineering. Traditionally, it has been divided into several sub-branches, including environment engineering, geotechnology Engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, substance engineering, coastal engineering, survey and construction engineering Iyring.
