Last month I and my friends went to Uttarakhand. It was a enjoyable but tiring journey. My mother was quite angry with the place where we went as it was a long journey. We decided so much to do like trekking but our fate did not want suchA first arrived, the weather was good, warm, sunny and windy. We stayed in a hotel for the night. Suddenly the weather turned bad and there was raining outside. Heavy downpour and cloud bursts. We can hear the announcement by the government authorities to move to the higher level on the hills. Immediately we ran for safety to a school uphill. The scene from up the hill was so scary. Unprecedented catastrophe, continuous downpour, flash floods and landslides was taking on a large scale. The water flowed with such fury that it devoured everything that came its way- hotels, dharamsalas, houses disappeared under debris deposited by river.
