It was the end of June, the temperature went as high as 44°C and the only relief one could expect was in the form of monsoonal rains but it was late by two weeks. All the plants were nearly scorched, water bodies were all nearly dried up, many animals had died of dehydration, and people were being inpatient. But then one day, the directions of the wind changed, then black clouds started appearing in the horizon, followed by thunder and lightning. People were overjoyed to see this. And finally it rained, all the earth seemed to have regained life with plants, animals and people overjoyed. The surroundings were covered with the earthy smell and people started dancing in the rain. It really was a relief from the summers.
