The statement given by you is not actually what people say it is what psychology says. Psychology says this because "opposite attracts ". It is really very hard when a male and a female tries to purse their friendship. They fascinate each other and eventually loves each other. It may be they don't express but they do. As they don't express they go through trolls. Most probably they might don't love each other but the phenomenon named Fascinating always occurs. Fascinating refers to attraction, in which they never fail.In many fields we can see such examples, like a male and female working together also attracts each others. They might remain friend but not the exact one. Exact one I mean, what friends actually do. They are just there for what they are. the way they react every moment. React here having fun.
Even I have many friends, most of them are males. Even this happened with me. we might be never loved(loving actually means influencing, encouraging, supporting, serving and caring) them but they few times attract us.
