Cleaning the dirt does not mean that we only keep the place around us clean. It also means that we keep our mind clean. If our mind is clean, the country will be clean simultaneously. Because a clean mind can never think of spreading dirt whether the dirt is clean or whether it is towards each other.
If I see my village a few years ago, it was not dirt free. But there is no fault of the village in this as there was no one to explain to them what the bad consequences of the mess can be. If you see the dirt, it is like a termite in wood, which is ruining the wood every second. In the same way, dirt was destroying my village. But when a sensible person comes in between someone, he starts spreading his understanding among all. In the same way, the head of our village understood the importance of this. And explain to the whole village that removal of dirt is the only way by which we can develop the whole village. It is not easy to understand people but it is not impossible. People understood the importance of cleanliness and pledged to get the dirt out of their village.

मेरा गांव देखा जाए तो कुछ साल पहले गंदगी मुक्त नहीं था| लेकिन इसमें गांव की भी कोई गलती नहीं है क्योंकि उन्हें यह समझाने वाला भी कोई नहीं था कि गंदगी के दुश परिणाम क्या हो सकते है| गंदगी को देखा जाए तो वह लकड़ी में लगे उस दीमक की तरह है जो लकड़ी को पल पल बर्बाद कर रहा है| ठीक उसी प्रकार गंदगी मेरे गांव को तबाह कर रही थी| लेकिन जब कोई समझदार किसी के बीच आता है तो वह अपनी समझदारी सब के बीच फैलने लगता है| ठीक उसी प्रकार हमारे गांव के मुखिया ने यह इस बात की अहमियत समझी| और पूरे गांव को समझाए कि गंदगी को हटाना एक मात्र उपाय है जिससे हम पूरे गांव को विकसित कर सकते है| लोगो को समझना आसान नहीं होता है लेकिन नामुमकिन भी नहीं होता है| लोगो ने सफाई की अहमियत समझी और गंदगी को अपने गांव से बाहर निकालने का प्रण लिया|
गांव को साफ तो करने का प्रण ले लिया था लेकिन पूरा गांव काबर से जायदा कुछ नहीं लग रहा था| जहां देखो वहां पान की पीक परी मिलेगी| अगर वह नह मिले तो गोबर तो संभतः मिल ही जाएगा| कुआ का नज़ारा तो और दर्शनीय था| हर जगह सिर्फ कीचड़| मानो आपको कुएं के पास जाना हो तो एक भयानक दलदल पार करके जाना होगा| सबसे बुरा वक्त तो तब था जब आप खेत में चले जाओ| लोग चाहे जितने भी विकसित क्यों ना हो जाए पर वह घर के सौचलाए को छोड़ खेत में जाना ही पसंद करते है|
इसको साफ करने के लिए पूरे गांव को खूब मेहनत करनी पड़ी| सारी सर्के साफ की गई| अब पीक कहीं जाके काम हुई| बैल और बकरियों को लगाम दी गई| कुएं को पहले साफ किया गया फिर कीचड़ हटाई गई फिर कुएं के पास जाने वाली जगह पर नई मिट्टी दाली गई| और आखरी और सबसे मुश्किल काम लोगो को खेतो में सौच करने से रोकना| लगता है इसकी भनक मुखिया को पहले ही लग गई थी कि लोग यह काम करना नहीं रोकेंगे| इसलिए उन्होंने इस काम के प्रति दंड रख दिया|
बहुत मेहनत के बाद आज मेरा गांव साफ है| गंदगी मुक्त है| और विकास की तरफ अग्रसर है|
