We all have three basic needs. Food, clothing and shelter. Shelter is provided by a house. So a house is where we live. We all start off our day, freshen up, eat and go for work or education. But after our duties, we all return to our houses and relax. Further we eat and have a nice night's sleep.
So a house is where we spend a lot our time. We live alone or with other persons whether related or not.
A house when we build with love and continue living among our parents, brothers and sisters, it becomes a home - a sweet home.
So a home is where we like to belong to. A home has many sweet memories to recall now and then and cherish.
Generally one lives in many different houses in different cities. But one calls only one as a home. One forms an unbroken relation with one's home. One has good experiences, laughs, crying moments, quarrels with siblings and good memories of sweet and spicy smells from mother's kitchen. For example, a hostel or a relative's home is just housing for us and not a home.
A home gives us the feelings of safety from others, cruel animals and natural calamities. It gives us stability and a push forward in the rest of our lives. Usually we design our home, decorate it, as well as procure and arrange the things we need and adore. So one never willingly leaves one's home and wishes to live and die in one's own home.
Home, however small it may be, is as great as a big castle.

Essay on My House: The world consists of all types of people. Some are fortunate enough to have amenities while some aren’t. Especially in a country like India, where the majority of the population lives below the poverty line. To own a house here is no less than a luxury, one which I thankfully have. I am blessed to be protected by four walls and a roof.
