Awareness

According to census 70% of the population of this country lives in villages and a big part of this population is uneducated. They are not aware about the importance and need of education in a person’s life. It is very important to make them aware about the need and importance of education for the improvement of the literacy rate of the country. By making people aware about can help you in teaching them. The thing is very simple if you want to teach more people you have to reach more people. For this an effective awareness program is very important. The government is giving its effort by introducing various literacy campaigns like “school chale hum” and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. The free sms services can be proved an effective tool for spreading awareness in this matter.

Social environment

The social environment is also widely responsible for the bad condition of literacy in India. Here people have imposed various restrictions on girl’s education. The woman literacy rate is like a scary dream for a person who is putting his effort for improving the literacy rate of country. On the same side it is great challenge for people working in this field. It is very important that proper steps to be taken by government and other beneficiaries to encourage girl education in the country.

Effective steps

Opening more and more school is total wastage of time, money and effort for improving literacy rate. Government as well as other beneficiaries involve in it has to put their effort in encourage more and more students to join schools and study. More awareness programs should be introduced especially in the rural areas and focusing on girl education. On the same side more and more aids should be given to people want to study but don’t have proper resources for that.

Also, they may not understand what is beneficial for them and what not The Govt. plans for their progress are unknown to them. In short, they can't move ahead with the changing times.
