The definition of an essay is a bit of writing that represents the author's own point of view; nevertheless, the definition is unclear, overlapping with those of a letter.  Informal essays are recognized by "the personal element (self-revelation, independent tastes and experiences, confidential manner), humour, graceful style, rambling structure, audaciousness or novelty of theme," and so on, whereas formal essays are characterized by "serious purpose, dignity, logical organization, and length," and so on.

Answer:

The holidays are an excellent time for us to travel to mountainous areas with our families. Summer is the perfect season for us to go on stress-free vacations and reconnect with nature, which we are reluctant to do during the rest of each year due to our busy schedules.

This summer, instead of going on a trip, I opted to stay at home and enjoy my vacation. To occupy my time productively, I enrolled in lessons where I learnt canvas painting and, concurrently, table tennis. In the afternoons, I assisted my mother in the kitchen and my father with some accounting work. This was the best period of my life since I felt closer to and more connected with my family. Then I went out with my pals for the rest of the evening. I also watched a couple of movies and web programmes. Not only did these shows and movies entertain me, but they also taught me significant life lessons. As a result, I spent my summer vacation growing closer to myself and my family, something I wasn't able to accomplish during the school year. I realized how productive and satisfying spending vacations at home can be.
