puja vacations are the longest vacations after the summer holidays when schools remain closed. durga puja is celebrated in every part of India with almost zeal. it is main festival of bengali hindus and is therefore celebrated with great enthusiasm particularly in Kolkata. the important period of puja lasts for four days but through out the month people remain in a festival spirit. during the days I visited the gound puja mandals decorate using unique props, lights and themes. different stalls and food joints near by pandals was a great attraction of all.
