Seasonal diseases are the diseases which develop in a human body due to changes occurring in season. Thus these diseases develop due to change in season.

The seasonal diseases develop due to infection caused by deadly parasites and microbes. These diseases remain either for a short time or for a life time. Some of the microorganisms or pathogens are airborne that is they spread through air others spread through contact with infected stuff.

Examples of seasonal diseases include measles, cold, cough, fever, cholera, typhoid, hepatitis A, mosquito-borne diseases and others.

The protection from these diseases can be achieved by washing hands with water and soap before the meal, staying away from infected people, covering the mouth and nose with tissue or handkerchief while sneezing. Maintaining cleanliness in the surrounding environment, wearing clothes according to the season that is winter or summer.
