Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in the subcontinent and died in January 30, 1948 as he was assassination in Delhi. He was the voice of Indians in the subcontinent. When British got hold of India Hindus were oppressed socially, politically and educationally. He stood against them and started Quit India movement peacefully. He advocated the Hindus to freedom from slavery.
To become an ideal citizen like him takes great effort, valor and strength to stand against anything that threatens to harm India's freedom. He always wanted Hindus to live together in harmony to do so an ideal citizen should have the patience and tolerance to put his duties to his country first even before his kin. Only by doing such things of highest honor can one become an ideal citizen just like Mahatma Gandhi.
