Essay on If I were a reporter
- I used to refuse when media authorities asked if I would accept the complete demand while I was heading the cause's champions.
- A cloud of rain can restore greenery everywhere and water all the areas, and even frogs will spray sounds of joy throughout the day and night. Governments, societies, and all public and private persons are friends of the media. News reports are a balanced convenience for everyone. They could serve as a mentor link. They should carry out their responsibilities responsibly.
- But would I categorically characterise the entire endeavour as awful (which, in my interpretation, means either "doing a poor job" or "being evil")? Obviously not. Just a few instances of high calibre journalism can quickly disprove that kind of generalisation. These instances are numerous.
- A reporter needs to be able to hold back the need to participate in or aid with an event they identify with, barring a life-or-death scenario. The one thing that sets reporters apart from so many of the individuals they cover is their credibility. However, objectivity is a very demanding mistress, and once a reporter enters a subjective environment, they run the risk of losing it. I imagine it's especially harder for photographers working in battle zones who witness so many awful incidents involving kids and families who are in the throes of imminent death.
- keeping the camera on the action, witnessing the cruelty toward other people, and attempting to record the situation in order to demonstrate to the rest of the world that such actions are not acceptable.
