If I were the Captain of Junior cricket team
If I were the captain of junior cricket team I would try to be a great captain. I would be a perfect role model of self-discipline, practice, hard-training, fielding, fitness, batting, and dedication. I would contribute my best in batting, fielding, and team management.
I would go to ground for practice regularly and punctually. I would focus on physical fitness which so essential to be a perfect player. I would then focus on my batting and fielding skills. I would learn to play fast in all situations. I would master playing all type of bowling such as pace, medium pace, slow, and spin bowling.
I would also motivate my teammates to give their hundred percent during practice, training and matches. I would maintain a very lively and light atmosphere on the ground. I would try to win almost every match. And from the ones I would lose, I would learn the required lessons!
I think that is the most important thing since, a child is a delicate age and bullying, pressure of studies and family issues can really demotivate them and change their perspective on life.
Sports can provide a wonderful experience of these kids and cricket is an amazing gentlemen's sport.
They can learning camaraderie, sportsman spirit, learn how to win and lose and take both with pride and respect.
I will also listen to them, sometimes on their personal issues but mostly on how they want to play cricket and how they see themselves.
