Importance of Education and the Nation’s Commitment to All Aspects of Education

Importance of education for any nation is paramount. A nation is advanced, developed, and self-reliant to the measure its education is developed, advanced, and unique. Education is the spark that ignites the faculties of mind, body, and intellect which further develop into skills and knowledge. Without education these faculties would remain mere seeds of possibilities.

Education since ancient times has been instrumental in broadening man’s outlook on life; it has always humbled man. Before receiving education man is like a bulb without light; always living, but without light. However, the power of education makes him glow with light, dispelling the darkness of ignorance—for him as well as for others.

Education can prove to be panacea for all the problems a nation is facing. The challenges of pollution, population, terrorism, right use of technology, etc. can be overcome by linking them with education. Education can play the following rules in solving the problems of mankind in the following manners:

The first and foremost role of education is to build strong enlightened character of men and women. Low morals and ignorance are the root causes behind all the ills that pester mankind. For example pollution, population, terrorism, and mismanagement of natural resources occur only in ignorance and inadequate perception of totality of life. Education has the power to dispel the darkness of ignorance and put man’s distorted perspective right. Education can also provide man the insight and wisdom to utilize the natural resources optimally.

Secondly, the problems pertaining to pollution, environmental degradation, etc. can be solved using education.  By interlinking educational institutes with advanced research centers, the students at schools and colleges can be involved in research programmes.  They may develop green vehicles. Similarly all the sewage, garbage, effluents, toxic fumes coming out of chimneys can be turned into non-polluting substances using education. This is being done in the most advanced countries of the world already.

Thirdly, education can really play a pivotal role in curbing terrorism in the world. It has been observed that religious fanaticism is behind most of the terrorism in the world. Education can really check this fanaticism. A truly educated youth would never allow himself to be tempted to become a terrorist.

Fourthly, education can play a very crucial role in equipping the students at schools and colleges with survival skills to be prepared to handle natural disasters or emergency situations. Schools and colleges must impart rescue and survival training to students. Each and every child must be taught basic first aid techniques. The program must aim at equipping each Indian, especially students with the knowhow of first aid skills so that in emergency each man, woman, or youngster might provide the required lifesaving first aid service to the traumatized victim/s. Thus not only they can save themselves from untoward happenings, but their friends and family members also.

So, education is the only power that can not only rid us of the darkness of problems, but also can give us the light of leading a happy, healthy, and successful life.

Nation’s Commitment to All Aspects of Education

To provide state-of-the-art educational facilities to all children and people is the responsibility of a nation. To create and develop world class educational infrastructure requires lots of investment of resources, and only the national government has so much of money and power.

Progressive pre-schools, schools, colleges, and universities equipped with latest teaching and learning aids should be established in each and every city. Quality, dedicated, and visionary teachers, educators, professors, and administrators should run these educational institutes with commitment and dedication.

If a nation can provide the best if educational facilities and educators, that nation is sure to advance the fastest.
