When a person becomes determined to do a work then there is no power in the world which can stop that person from doing it. In order to get a work done, a person need to have two things in order to get a work done, one is his willpower and second is the hardwork a person puts in that work.
Willpower makes the person stick to a work untill it gets done and it is the hardwork put in which makes that work possible to happen. Nothing is possible in this world without trying for that work to happen and without having any intention or willpower to do that work.
A person cannot achieve any goal be it a small one or the aim of his life, without having any willpower for achieving that goal and without trying hard for that goal.
