In the beginning the earth water and air were considered as a part of embelishment of the land scape.the oceans and rivers were considered as a source of generating power.But with the passage of time man statrting disturbing the balance of nature by polluting air and water.besides this man started cutting down trees for building material ,furniture and paper products all this resulted in environmental pollution and vast area of land has been tarnished by such human activities.it has been rightly said by a philospher
"water and air,the two essential fluid on which all life depends,have become global garbage cans"
