Independence Day is a national festival celebrated in India, this day is been celebrated on 15th August of every year. We got independence on 15th August 1947 that is we got free from British rule, hence this day is been celebrated as Independence Day in India.

History

Our country India was been ruled all over two centuries which is the biggest year where our country was ruled by the other country people. Our country people suffered a lot due to the problem given by the British people to the Indian people because of the Indian people where salve of those officers those days.

Till the people pursue the strength of fighting against the British they were the salves of the British officers. For the independence, there was the great hand of Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose and many of the great leaders some of the leaders took the way of non-violence and some took the violence path.

During the free of our country from the British Raj, there were numerous deaths, sacrifices, protest, movement and many of the problems were faced by the common people also.

Why is day celebrated

Independence Day is been celebrated because there is a great struggle of many people in India during the free to India from the British. So to remember them and their sacrifices this day is been celebrated, there is and government holiday on 15th of August. By celebrating this day the upcoming generation will also get to know the importance of this day, the respect among our country will remain stair throughout the world.

On this day there is a flag hosting all over the nation, people host the flag with great respect and salute in front of the flag. And the main flag hosting is done in the red for Delhi with the respect of the 21 gunshots on this occasion, all the citizen and the prime minister are been present there.

After that, there is a debate based on Independence Day with a different type of topic related to our country. There are been given a speech by the people based on Independence Day or regarding our nation which makes our mind to me proud.

Many of the competition is been held on this day that the people enjoy the must on this day all the children participate in a various competition such as the dance, singing, fancy dress competition and many other types of games are been held.

Celebration in Schools

The celebration of Independence Day in the schools and the college level is the same, the director of the schools host the flag. All the students studying in the schools are been called for the flag hoisting. Then there is some of the competition held for the students.
