mohandas karamchand gandhi was born in porbandar in rajasthan . his father karamchand gandhi was the prime minister of rajkot . he had 4 wives and his mother putli bai was the fourth . he had 2 brothers and a sister . he was a very shy student and would run to home to acoid getting talked to . he studied law in london and came back as a barrister and set up practice in bombay . there he failed miserably . he got a chance to work in south africa which he gladly accepted and he faced discrimination while being there . he fought for the rights of the foreigneirs in south africa and succeded. he came back to india and after a lot of struggle and hardship achieved freedom for india . he was assasinated by nathu ram vinayak godse 6 months after independence
