Mahatma Gandhi's fight against British rule in a non-violent way inspired each and every Indian citizen.

EXPLANATION:

     Mahatma Gandhi was the famous leader who is called as Mahatma "because of his great works" and "greatness all through" his life. He was a freedom fighter who always followed non-violence to fight for the freedom of India from the British rule. His powerful and non-violent movement made India, an independent country.

    He led many movements like civil disobedience movement, Non-cooperation movement, quit India movement etc. He led salt march in 1930, which inspired not just me, but the entire Indians to strive against British for our won independence. His valor act in a non-violent way greatly appealed the heart and mind of Indians.

   As a freedom fighter, he got arrested and sent to jail man times. After much struggles, he became "successful in making India", an independent country. Later, he is called as the father of our nation by Indians and his birthday October 2nd is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanthi all over India.
