Answer:
When I had to write about my favorite city, it had to be the one I am living in since last 10 years now – Vadodara
I would not have done justice had I written about any other city as it would not come from my heart. I have known this place for so long, studied here, got my first paycheck here, saw the hostel life, then a Paying Guest, to a rental and finally moved to my own home.
Vadodara also known as Baroda is the third largest city of Gujarat after Ahmedabad and Surat. The word Vadodara has originated from the word Vadpatra because of the presence of many banyan trees in the city on the river banks of Vishwamitri.
The city is totally rich in heritage and culture why it is also known as the “Sanskari nagri” ie the “Cultured city”.

There are few more flyovers coming up soon which are in progress. National Highway 8, connecting Delhi and Gandhinagar with Ahmedabad to Surat and Mumbai, passes through the city. Vadodara is also connected with Ahmedabad through Indian National Expressway 1.
