India is a land of great diversity in it's physical features, people, languages and cultures. We have snowy peaks of the Himalayas in the North, and forests and fertile plains in North and South.. We have 29 states and many more communities living in these states speaking different languages with different dialects for each language..

India has a rich heritage in science, agriculture and literature. In science we were far ahead of other nations; even in ancient times and the modern age has seen a great development in medicine, science and technology... We produce practically every thing under sun and export industrial goods, medicines and so on.

In agriculture we have beautiful buildings, temples, mosques etc. The Taj Mahal is known as the 8th wonder of the world. Then there is Red Fort, Charminar and so on..

However, with all of these assets to be proud of; we also have a lots of problem. There is a wide spread poverty and illiteracy and also there is a wide gap between the rich and poor. Unemployment is yet another major problem which further increases the gap between the halves and the halves not.

Pollution is also a problem that we faced because of increasing urbanization, expanding population and over crowding. Apart from factories the smoke produced by vehicles also cause pollution and make like in the city a veritable hell..

Thus, to conclude, I would say that India is a great country which is advancing in all spheres of development..
