Dr. Thakur is the most familiar name to everybody in our town. He has been our family doctor for last twenty years He must be well above fifty. In spite of his rage. He is admired for his youthful spirit and enthusiasm.

He has the dispensary in the heart of the town. He punctually comes there at 9 a.m. His dispensary is always crowded with patients. They wait for him for hours together because they are sure to get a good and effective treatment. The patients like him very much. Dr. Thakur is a doctor from in and out. He is very intelligent and wise. He always keeps himself in touch with the latest developments in medicine and surgery. So his knowledge is always up-to-date. The patients like us are always benefitted by his fresh knowledge and skill. We have faith in him. So we call him for a visit whenever someone in our family is ill. He always comes in with a smile on his face. His movements are swift and cheerful His bed-side manners are very pleasant. His talk with the patient is very soft and jocund. His touch relieves the patient and his confident attitude encourages him to get better quickly. His diagnosis is always quick and almost correct and the treatment is always affected, because he examines the patient thoroughly. He’s an experienced medical practitioner.

Besides being a 'doctor', Dr. Thakur is a very kind human Wing. He is a true gentleman He is a man of principles. The aim of his medical practice is to give true and good service to mankind and not to empty the pockets of the needful patients and make money for himself. He abides by his principles and at time gives free service to the poor patients. Once Ramu had drunk a lot. He could not control himself on the road and was hit by a truck. Ramu was unconscious, badly wounded and thrust with blood. Dr. Thakur saw it and immediately carried him to his dispensary. He dressed his wounds and after many efforts brought him back to consciousness. He gave Ramu free treatment till his wounds were healed and also with his wise gentle words made Ramu get over the alcohol addiction. Now Ramu works as a compounder in his dispensary.

Many a times Dr. Thakur has to sacrifice many joyful occasions for a suffering patient. He gets a call from some patient for a visit when he is resting or watching television or enjoying some family function. He has to go to the patient in heavy rains or n bitter cold or in the scorching sun. He cannot look to his own personal pleasures. As a doctor what he always gets to see is sickness, suffering, disease and death. Really, his life is lot a bed of roses, but a bed or thorns. May God bestow upon this dutiful and serviceful man a long and happy life.
