I always admire the sunrise and sunset in any place. Thus, without a second thought, Sunset Point is my favorite tourist spot in Mahabaleshwar when I go with family. This point is located at the starting of the old road that leads to Mumbai. This is why the point is also called Sunset Point. From this point, at sunset time, you can see the sun sinking into the valley and disappearing into the water. This is indeed a spectacular sight. At the time of sunset, it appears as if the sun is painting the sky with a vibrant orange.
This is a very popular tourist spot and is open to the public all days of the week. There are many activities in this area for tourists. These include local games and horse riding. There are food stalls from where you can buy items like strawberries, bhel and corn.
