On 13th December, I woke up to a fine morning. My English Olympiad was on that day. I was quite good in English, so I gave the Olympiad. That was pretty easy for me, although I knew that olympiads were difficult. I returned home hoping to get good grades in that olympiad. Time passed and it was the beginning of a new session. The session had just been started. Days passed, and it was finally 17th April when the results came out of the Olympiad. As my classteacher was distributing the certificates, she called out my name. I reached to her to get the certificate. But, suddenly my teacher said everyone to clap for me. I had no idea what was going on. She said that I had won a gold medal! Wow, that was certainly something I didn't expect at all. And the best thing, achievers of last year in diffsrent things were going to be announced on 25th April. I was informed that I will be a part of it too! Days swept away and finally 25th April arrived. The Principal on the stage called my name. For a moment, I felt honoured. As I on the stage, I became nervous as I saw many students clapping for me. I was appreciated and congratulated by the teachers and the principal. I was asked to reveal how I achieved the medal. O sure gave a good speech. I never felt so great since this was my first ever achievement in an olympiad. That was an unforgettable day, since I was on the stage, the same stage I was sharing with the Principal ma'am and other teachers. When I reached my class after the assembly, my English teacher congratulated me. My friends also appreciated me. It was probably the most memorable day in my school!
