I believe that the wilderness is the most peaceful place on Earth, and it is one of the most neglected places on the Earth.
Every day I deal with the stressful reality of everyday life: school, schoolwork, my sisters; I could stay here and talk all day long about what stresses me out. However, one solution I have to my problems is taking a walk in the wilderness, and enjoying the fresh air, the birds singing, the squirrels chirping, and the mountain streams filled with aquatic creatures.
Every day I take a walk in the wilderness, and wonder if it will always be around. Selfish people are wiping entire forests out every day. Even though the Earth is becoming more populated, for now I can still enjoy peaceful time in the wilderness.
When I am in nature, I look back at all the things I did in my sixteen years of life, and all the things I can remember was when I was in the wilderness. The wilderness does this to people. Once someone visits the wilderness, it will stay in his or her head for the rest of their lives, because of how breath taking the scenery is.
Hunting and fishing are my two favorite past times in the wilderness. My father has taught me well in my sixteen years of life, but the wilderness is what has shaped me into the young man that I am today. For the people that have never experienced the wilderness, they don’t have any clue as to what they’re missing. The wildlife, the beautiful trees, the plants, everything in the wilderness is quiet and peaceful.
Every day when I wake up, I look outside and admire the beauty of the wilderness. It is a promising sign to me, because I always like to think that the wilderness will always be there, but there is always a chance someone will come and destroy it all, take it all away from me. Hopefully this will never happen. But for now, I’ll continue to find peace in nature.
