Any ingredient in a product or service that will run out. Among employees, you can burn them out by asking them to do more work than they have the energy for week after week and they ‘burn out’ - get overtired, then sick, then injured from making mistakes. Some companies think that’s OK and they can just hire more, but mostly you can’t and people are not ‘renewable’ resources. But you can run out of any raw material for what you are making - energy (oil, gas, electricity, steel, coal, food/plant products, etc.). Growing more makes an ingredient ‘renewable’ but it may not be renewable in time for what you need, so therefore what you are doing is ‘unsustainable’ because ingredients run out.
