Noise pollution is the annoying and stressful sound that is capable of damaging the ears. It is the result of numerous sources. The number of auto-vehicles is fast increasing in the modern world. Traffic noise is particularly severe in the urban areas. Fast running trains also cause noise pollution along the rail tracks. Taking off and leading of aeroplanes cause unbearable noise pollution. In rural areas, farm machines make lot of noise. During festivals ,use of fire crackers add to the noise pollution. The use of loud speakers in the city are also a source of noise pollution. At sea, the engines of ships and super tankers create a lot of noise. Noise pollution has effects also :
the stressful sound is referred as the noise pollution. Nowadays, it is increasing at a rapid pace with increasing urbanization. Its impact is very severe on humans. Any sound that is louder than the normal level of talking can damage the delicate ear cells in the inner ear. If high sound levels do not cause deafness, it may lead to a disease called tinnitus which causes ringing in ears. Factory workers, military workers and police personnel, musicians, fire fighters are at high risk of hearing problems due to continuous exposure to high sound levels.
