Essay on Oil Conservation towards Healthy and Better Environment:

'Oil conservation' is a big topic that seeps into even the 'smallest aspects of modern life' . Fuel has become a necessity for all human beings in this modern-day lifestyle. We use fuel to meet our cooking, manufacturing, building materials and many more needs. Since the advent of industrialisation, there have been many changes in the volume and rate of fuel consumption. Most businesses are operating and working by fuel consumption. The environment has been badly damaged by industrialization.

A symbol of prosperity has become the modern machine and vehicles. While, fuel is restricted in quantity and is expected to be exhausted at the present usage rate, they take centuries to regenerate. The atmosphere is severely affected by the dangerous and poisonous emissions, which are emitted by the combustion of fuel by vehicles. Vehicle exhausts in the atmosphere emit tons of gasses and particulate matter and they are the main source of air pollution. Such emissions have both immediate and long-term adverse environmental effects and potentially lead to global warming, respiratory diseases, and acid rain.

Vehicle exhausts emits lots of gases and particulate matter in the environment and they are the major source of air pollution. These pollutants causes both immediate and long term negative effects on environment and eventually cause global warming, respiratory diseases and acid rain. These things have become a huge threat to earthly life. As the loss of the ozone layer increases the number of greenhouse gasses that are constantly increasing the Earth's surface temperature.

The greenhouse gases emitted from these vehicles trap heat in the atmosphere, cause temperature rise and adversely affect the level of wildlife and the ocean. Gas, which is sometimes used in sea transport, triggers oil spills in the ocean, creating an unwarranted risk to marine animals. Not only the sea, but also the land vehicles operating on the highways, also dump fuel on the road, which flows into nearby water sources and contaminates lakes and rivers. As we know, our population is increasing exponentially and the demand for necessities is rising with an increasing population. Additionally, there is a heavy burden on the transport sector to fulfil these demands. There is a need for a lot of manpower and resources to meet those needs.

  • There are many ways in which fuel can be saved. Shared or public transport, such as trams and metro, could be used.
  • We must shut the engines off while waiting for traffic signals. We walk to nearby places for a workout.
  • We must use fuel that is more effective.
  • When not in use, we turn off gadgets and appliances.
  • We must use green vehicles and state-of - the-art machines based on technology.
  • We must use bicycles not only as a sport, but as a means of transport. Also driving vehicles at recommended speeds and keep them running at a high mileage.
  • We need to replace obsolete technologies. Powerful LED bulbs can replace domestic light bulbs. Using more modern LED and LCD TVs and computer monitors instead of big old ones.
  • Let us use more powerful and quiet CNG-based engines than conventional noisy diesel engines. The efficient and cost-effective use of geothermal heat and biomass energy serves our needs. Using solar boats could reduce water bodies ' pollution.
  • Inadvertently, food, water or other materials are wasted. Indirectly reducing waste saves the energy needed to produce more meat and other goods.
  • Induction stoves save on cooking fuel.
  • Use less traditional fuels and use more clean renewable fuels such as solar, wind, tidal, geothermal, biomass, nuclear, hydro, biofuel, etc.
  • Instead of polluting our location and then look for a better place to live in, we can live safer and healthier by saving fuel. To conclude, if we use oil efficiently and sustainably, we will ensure the survival of our next century. Sustainable use is also likely to help us save the world as it replenishes itself, if not disrupted by external forces, to its original form. Fuel saving will not only benefit us, it will also help the next generation. As it reduces the amount of toxin from the atmosphere and gives time to find better and safer fuel for use for both us and our future generations.
