Oil conservation week is celebrated between 4th Jan- 10th Jan globally so as to raise the awareness amongst people globally about the importance of conserving petroleum products. Petroleum Conservation Research Association and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas contributes towards this week.
Since 1991, it is celebrated yearly to encourage people of the nation and to increase the efficacy of the oil conservation campaign. Oil conservation is the need of the hour, considering the rate wherein humans consume fossil fuels thereby consuming the future generation’s resources along with polluting the environment greatly.
The outcome and excessive consumption of fossil fuels have negatively impacted the environment and man. Conserving oil will enable us to sustain the fossil fuel resources for the future generation at the same conserve our environment.
