Answer:

may it help you

Explanation:

Peer pressure (or social pressure) is the direct influence on people by peers, or the effect on an individual who gets encouraged to follow their peers by changing their attitudes, values or behaviors to conform to those of the influencing group or individual. This can result in either a positive or negative effect, or both. Social groups affected include both membership groups, in which individuals are "formally" members (such as political parties, trade unions, schools), and cliques, in which membership is not clearly defined. However, a person does not need to be a member or be seeking membership of a group to be affected by peer pressure. Peer pressure can decrease one's confidence.

There has been considerable study regarding the effects of peer pressure on children and adolescents, and in popular discourse the term is mostly used in the contexts of those age groups. For children, the common themes for study regard their abilities for independent decision making; for adolescents, peer pressure's relationship with sexual intercourse and substance abuse have been significantly researched. Peer pressure can affect individuals of all ethnicity, genders and ages, however. Peer pressure has moved from strictly face-to-face interaction to digital interaction as well. Social media offers opportunities for adolescents and adults alike to instill and/or experience pressure every day.[1] Research suggests that not just individuals but also organizations, such as large corporations, are susceptible to peer pressures, such as pressures from other firms in their industry or headquarters city.[2]

                                      PEER PRESSURE

Peer pressure can be be both negative and positive. because if a person is a peer and is pressuring you for a good cause it is motivation. Motivation is essential foe the growth of a person. While peer pressure with a bad cause can lead you to a disastrous situation. Therefore it is necesessary for a person to not get influenced by people around them.

Peer pressure is advantageous in many ways. Most importantly it creates a sense of motivation in the person.Furthermore, it creates confiedence in a person. The peer pressure also works in creating a better character of the person. For instance, when we recommend someone for a particular job, the interviewer already gets a better image of that person. Therefore there is a lot of chance for that person to get hired.

There are various disadvantages of peer pressure as well which can harm a person in many ways. If any person is not willing to do a task peer pressure can be frustrating to him. Peer pressure to a youth from a bad company can lead to a nasty situation. Furthermore, it can also hamper a student's career and studies.

Hence, it is necessary to judge the outcome of a deed before getting influenced by peers. Peer pressure should always be secondary. Your own thoughts and wants should be the first  priority.
