Plastic is a deadly toxin. When it comes to harming the environment, few pollutants on our planet are as toxic and change resistant as plastic.

It's easy to bring everyday essentials in a plastic bag- they're so convenient after all. It's as easy to throw them down the drain. But have we ever thought of the consequences? Plastics are killing us!

Plastics are non-biodegradable polymeric substances, which stay put, resisting any transformation once released into the environment. That silly plastic bag you saw littering the road the other day on the way to school would possibly stay as it is for years and years. It'll block the drains, flood the roads during rains, and kill cows and other animals who happen to ingest them accidentally.

Plastics release carcinogenic chemicals on burning that are extremely toxic, causing rampant air pollution. Needless to say, plastics are the worst enemy of the environment.

'I Am The Land" is a short poem written by Marine D. Bellagenta in which the poetess personifies land and it speaks about how the man takes pride in possessing the land. Man buys and sells land, but land patiently waits. It supports all trees, animals, and other life forms, but the man tries to dominate the land. As a result, it is annoyed by his act of fencing and creating boundaries. It protests that man can't fence the planet earth.
