What is reading? Is it just glancing at the book, newspaper , novel , etc. and spelling the words? No ! Reading is when we understand the text , go deeply into the article written. Looking for hard words that we do not understand. When we read anything with full concentration, that is called "Reading".

Usually everyone reads a book and that book can be anything. It depends on the reader's interest. Someone likes adventure , other likes horror , suspense and even emotional stories. Yeah we cannot forget about war and love stories. Everyone has its own choice of reading.

Some have passion for reading , some have desire for reading, some have interest for reading and some read forcefully. Forcefully ! It happens when one has to read a book or story in which he or she has no interest. One has to read cause it will come in the exam or for any competition and anything else.

But reading should become a pleasure for everyone. One should read atleast a book or novel each month. When one does so , it develops a kind of interest for reading.
Reading helps in the personal development of an individual. A person who reads comes to know about several new and difficult words. It also helps in improving their reading skills and speaking skills. It even helps in writing good essays , articles , reports ,etc.

A true reader just gets lost in the world of books. The person has a kind of enthusiasm for reading. We all should read books according to our personal interest. Students must be encouraged to read books and novels as much as they can and write about the book or story. In this way they'll create more interest in reading and read then with pleasure.

A great philosopher had once said, " Reading makes a complete man. " It is absolutely true. By reading we get information about the facts and knowledge of the affairs of the world.

when we read any type of good book, we feel as if we are in the company of the great author . From these books we learn a lot about the lives of great people. In fact, these books contain the wisdom of all great men that have ever lived in the world. Those people are no more but their works are stored in our libraries.

Reading gives us a lot of benefits. we entertain ourselves by reading stories etc. we gain a lot of knowledge too. Our vocabulary and sentence formations skills automatically improve. Reading strengths our ability to think and to analyse.

The habit of reading is a sign of culture. It is a great source of enjoyment . Books are a treasure . they are richer than the treasure of all kings . They are the gold mines of art, literature ,science and information. 

Books are the pearls of wisdom. Reading books can introduce a new charm in life.  A book is the precious life blood of a master mind.  

Books are the most faithful of friends ,our friends may change but our books are always patiently and faithfully waiting to talk to us . Books contains a wealth of knowledge and information.

Books help us in building our character. By reading books our sadness is removed. If we are on a long journey, books give us a good company. Everyone, therefore, should develop the habit of reading books. Therefore, everyone should develop the habit of reading.
